Appearance: Kyung is a handsome man that appears to be as young and intelligent as he is, with short black hair and a few short bangs touching his eyes. He has a medium build, low cheek bones, round jaw, and round hazel eyes. He also wears plain, classic clothing, carrying a guitar or backpack most of the time.
Personality: Kyung is known to be a highly intelligent individual, who has a talent for cluing in to details and a self-reliant attitude because of his father. He tends to be reclusive, trying to keep his problems away from hindering others and act resonably, but helps others whenever he can because of a sense of compassion he learned from his sister. However, he relies on instinct and emotion when it comes to tense situations, especially when his sister is somewhat involved and is constantly hindered by the desire to know her fate. He also enjoys writing songs and poems and is constantly writing in his notebook.
Occupation: Kyung is a Bookstore Clerk who came to investigate the Dead or Alive Tournament to find any possible leads to Hana's activities and whereabouts. It is because of his talents in investigating that he is pursuing a career in Criminal Justice.
Background: Kyung was born and raised in the suburbs of Inchon and excelled at school, martial arts, and many other challenges that were set before him. Since his mother died when he was very young, he was constantly driven with the desire to impress his father, a well-acclaimed Central Intelligence Agency Agent known as the 'Dark Angel'. However, even with his success, His father was constantly away on business and pressed him to do more every time he saw him. Overlooked and overshadowed, the only person he could truly turn to was his elder sister Hana. This reliance built into a strong relationship and he started to see her as a motherly figure.
However, when Hana graduated from college things started to change. As Kyung began to discover his talents in cluing in to details, his father started to appear more frequently and tried to condemn him the futures that he and his sister were both seeking (with Kyung wanting to join the police force and Hana wanting to get into science and biology.) Things got even worse when Hana was invited to work for a Bio-engineering company in Germany, where for unclear reasons, her father was strongly opposed and constantly fought her to keep her from leaving. However, she was not deterred and eventually left, promising that she would visit and keep in touch… but as time went on, she began to visit and call less. After two years, the calls stopped completely and she disappeared
Distraught, Kyung went to his father and bitterly asked him for help, which he assured him that he was doing everything in his power to find Hana. He also tried convincing Kyung to expect the worst and prevented him from doing investigating on his own, trying to keep him out of the issue (and driving a wedge between the two.) As time went on, Kyung began to lose his patience and sought to get away, but no matter what he did, it seemed he was watching from the shadows…
After a few years, Kyung decided to focus on preparing his college plans, work at a local bookstore, and accept losing his sister. He found some peace, but couldn't fully accept the thought of her being gone from his life…
Later, American woman comes into the bookstore, taking a strange interest in Kyung. After a discussion, it is revealed that she was a fellow member of the bio-engineering company that his sister had worked before her disappearance and even claimed that she was a friend of hers. Realizing the chance to find his sister, Kyung asks her about what happened, but she avoids the question and leaves… prompting Kyung dig up anything on her as a possible lead. In his research, he comes across the one name that would set him on the path to the Dead or Alive Tournament: 'Victor Donovan'.
